Emerging Talent Award Win for Ryan
A huge congratulations and well done to Ryan Davies, who has been recognised with the Emerging Talent Award at the Architectural Technologist Awards in London.
Hosted by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT), the awards celebrate individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the profession. The Emerging Talent category recognises ATs who have promise, vision, and have shown a commitment to their craft that poises them for an exciting career.
Since joining Rio Architects, Ryan has worked on a variety of projects, showcasing his versatility, from working on Bridgend College’s Town Centre Campus, the Live Oasis St Albans Place student accommodation in Leeds, to fire remediation works to hospitals and more recently, and leading the refurbishment of a Grade II* listed Victorian arcade in Cardiff.
Ryan is an excellent ambassador for the practice, representing Rio with professionalism, enthusiasm, and passion. He is highly active in the industry and has had the opportunity to work with CIAT, allowing him to make meaningful contributions to the profession. He became AspirATion Chair this year, where he is bridging the gap between industry and education, leading a number of new initiatives aimed at strengthening this connection. He works with the AspirATion team and Cardiff Metropolitan University to boost students’ technical understanding through live construction demonstrations, CPDs, and support sessions.
