James

Possessing an approachable and collaborative nature, James is a Senior Architectural Technologist at Rio who previously worked within a multi-disciplinary design team, working on internal refurbishments for the Welsh Government.

He has recently been leading the technical design and construction phases for a variety of projects, from large scale student accommodations to single storey schools.

Driven by his interest in digital construction, James is a member of Rio’s dedicated BIM team. He consistently assumes a leadership role in the clash detection process within project teams, guaranteeing that buildings are devoid of clashes prior to construction, aimed at delivering a streamlined and meticulously planned building that surpasses client expectations.

His passion within architecture lies in the technical aspects of construction and understanding how different materials and components can converge in a variety of ways to achieve a desired outcome.
