Spindogs!

As a business committed to its staff, we are proud to have been shortlisted in the Workplace Wellbeing category at the Wales Business Awards 2022.

The Wales Business Awards reward the best and celebrate the success of gold-standard businesses across Wales, of all sizes and from all sectors.

We have been shortlisted after demonstrating how the studio is continuously proactive and driven when recognising that its strength lies with its people. And how we advocate a workplace culture through well-being policies and organised events, whether it is for fun or part of a corporate social responsibility initiative.

We want to bring out the best in our team and continue to evolve to meet the needs of the studio.

Driven and championed by Architect and Associate David Whitter, the studio has established a fantastic well-being platform we call Monday Morning Mindfulness, allowing our team to experience guided meditations. They help unwind the body, mind and self before starting the working week in the studio. Often accompanied by exercises and reflections, the sessions help us practice taking ourselves out of our comfort zone and normalising challenging thoughts and feelings.

Every week we offer our team the chance to experience new ways to support their well-being and mental health.

Well-being is not just a word on a wall to us, it's part of our norm. We demonstrate our commitment and focus to empowering our people daily and creating the conditions for our team to thrive and be well mentally, physically, personally and professionally.

We hope to inspire more engagement over time and thereby continue to improve the health of our team.

"We are delighted to be shortlisted for the Workplace Wellbeing Award! Our approach ensures that the collective design studio is at its best professionally, by respecting and facilitating the wellbeing of each person within the team.  It's encouraging and energising to have our values acknowledged by Wales Business Awards, thank you!" David Whitter, Associate / Architect
